Great ending to a lovely series. I am so glad Jess Michaels wrote this story. It is sweet and tender and shows that everyone can and should have love in their life and a happily ever after. When I first saw this book, I was tempted not purchase it, but I love the other books in the series so I purchased it and I'm glad I did. Griffin and Aaron are well written characters for such a short story. The history is in the previous books, but you don't need to read them to enjoy this book. You feel their struggle about not hurting Letty who they both "love". You feel the chemistry as soon as they see each other at the lake. You know they should be to be together, but worry with them about the M/M complications (it was a hanging offense)!Product details

Two lost souls who find happily ever after is so touching. I love the was Aaron finally found his soul mate. Can't wait to read more.
As with every Jess Michael's book I have read this one had me fascinated from the first page (see what I did there...)! I loved that Aaron and Griffin got their own story and although quite short, it was written so well and there was enough of a 'will they won't they' that it seemed like a much longer book. I think this is the last in the Wicked Woodley's novels and is a wonderful way to round out the series. This was also my first M/M romance so I wasn't sure what to expect, however, Jess wrote the scenes in such a sensitive way that all I wanted was Aaron and Griffin to realise how perfect they were for each other than.
Although their attraction is obvious and they have circled each other for years, it is still a huge risk for either Griffin or Aaron to act on that attraction. They live in era where such relationships can only happen behind very tightly closed doors and, Aaron especially is still reeling from the death of his previous lover. Thrown together at a house party, they can no longer deny their feelings, but even after accepting that their attraction has blossomed into love there is one person they cannot countenance hurting. After coming so close to happiness, it seems their love is doomed.
All is not lost, however, and a clever little twist at the end provides a light at the end of a long dark tunnel. No spoilers though - you should read it...it is so worth it!
The four stars are for the writing and not the story itself. I wanted to finish the series, and while a story like this is not my normal cup of tea, it did show the mindset and laws of the Regency period that made it a dangerous place for homosexuals. As with all of Jess Michaels' books, the sex is graphic.
This was the perfect end to the Woodleys Series. So heartfelt and beautiful. Love is love and so happy that Jess Michaels wrote Aaron and Griffin’s story.
Not my usual genre but Jess Michaels can get you to feel the love whatever the situation. Griffin was still a bit immature for me, but I liked the pairing with Aaron despite that. Plus it's always nice to see a glimpse of characters that you loved from other books living their HEA.
I'm not one to read gay romances but I gave in because it was a Jess Michaels and I was curious. I was drawn in from the beginning and I thought it was was quite well done. We see two men who struggle with their attraction to each other, and we quickly realize it's just like any love or attraction between men and women. I thoroughly enjoyed Aaron and Griffin's story and they get a HEA. Warning There are some hot and steamy love scenes.
I loved the entire Woodley series but this one just didn't seem to live up to the rest of them. I understand it was entirely different from the others and believe me, I am not at all prejudice against homosexuality, not at all. I rooted for the two of them actually but it just lacked the same pizazz as the other stories had. It just seemed flat. I can't even tell you what exactly was missing, it just was not there for me. I love Michaels' work and I have read most of her works but this one, in my opinion, was not one of her best.
